The Faith Works Connecting for a Healthy Community (FWCFHC) is a consortium comprised of community collaborations and research initiatives with predominately African American churches and community organizations and patients in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Our mission is to continue to build a strong network of faith-based, community-based organizations, patients and researchers in the Bi-State region with the common goal of working to address cancer health disparities among racial/ethnic minorities and other under-served and under-insured individuals. Through partnerships with patients, researchers, faith-based and community-based members, the goal is to build sustainable health promotion programs that will have far-reaching impact for positive behavior outcome in our region.
The FWCFHC has been around since 2012. We are proud to say that collaboration with the community matters. We're committed to improving community health through partnering with faith-based and community-based organizations that want to empower these communities. Our collective voice matters.
